520 _aGovernment has announced proposals for rewarding the progress being made by planning authorities across a whole range of delivery functions, including e-planning. Planning delivery grant proposals for 2005/06 are similar to those for 2004/05 - rewarding progress in development control,plan making, delivery of housing in areas of high demand, and Enterprise Areas. The grant for 2005/06 is £170m. A further consultation has also been launched on planning fees. Fees are due to rise by £30m in 2005/06 and further increases are being considered. The average proposed increase will rise from 17% to 39%.
