520 _aConservationists are angry at what they see as a catch in an offer from Fisons, Britain`s largest exploiter of peat from threatened lowland bogs, to give up 8,000 acres on which it has extraction rights. In return the group wants to continue peat extraction on two-thirds of the land for up to 30 years, stripping off most of the peat and leaving a layer of only two feet or less.
