The plaintiffs lost their claim against their insurers and against second defendants, their employers, for work on the cofferdam, which collapsed. The court held that the cofferdam collapsed because of bad workmanship , thus their insurance claim came without the insurance policy and no claim for damages from the second defendants for not providing a promised dewatering system could be upheld since the plaintiffs had made a breach of contract against them too.
