_v1991 EGCS 10 (8 February 1992)
520 _aIn "South Glamorgan CC v Griffiths" CA 28 January 1992, it was held that the education authority had been correct in issuing the notice to quit to the tenant who originally had been granted the tenancy of the house on a weekly rental in order to help him perform his duties as school caretaker. The tenant had remained in the house after retiring from his post on closure of the school. The CA dismissed the appellant`s claim that there was no such implied term in the nature of his employment contract and held that the nature of the tenancy had not changed following his retirement. Appeal dismissed.
