520 _aSLC Application Dumfries RN 65 - order of 24 May 1993. The landlord, the Secretary of State for Scotland, og the holding of Palgowan applied to the Court for an order appointing an arbiter to determine the rent payable for the holding. The Court appointed an arbiter but prior to the hearing the arbiter was informed that parties had reached a settlement as to the rent payable. The arbiter then lodged a settlement with the Court detailing the number of hours spent by him in preparing for the arbitration hearing etc, in order that the Court might fix his renumeration. Both the landlord and the tenant objected to two items detailed by the arbiter namely the amount of time spent by him reading the Statments of case and preparing for the hearing and the amount of time spent by him on inspecting a comparable subject. The Court reduced the number of hours spent by the arbiter in reading the Statements of Case etc but held that the time spent by the arbiter in inspecting the comparable was fa
