The notice was delivered by hand and put through the letter box of the tenant`s address but not, contended K at his place of abode which was a bed sitting room in this building, in compliance with the Law of Property Act 1925 s196(3) or Landlord and Tenant Act 1927 s23(1) about leaving the notice at the "last known place of abode" of the tenant.
