520 _a"Colegio Oficial de Agentes de la Propiedad Immobiliaria v Borrell and others" Court of Justice of the European Communities 7 May 1992. Concerned with the discrimination on grounds of nationality against an estate agent, (member of the RICS) who set himself up in business in Spain before his qualifications were recognised by host state. Held that according to the rules of freedom of establishment laid down in S52 of EC Directive 67/43, a host state must take into account existing qualifications. If these are found to be equivalent to those of the host state, they must automatically be recognised.
