However, the local ombudsman does have the power to override these provisions and can investigate those complaints for which a remedy may lie in the courts. This article, with reference to case law, examines the overlap between the work of the local ombudsman and the functions of the courts and considers the irregularities which may arise as a result of the differing forms of redress from each. | ||
