520 _aIn "Ogilvie Builders Ltd v Glasgow CDC", Court of Session 4 March 1994, it was held that where a JCT building contract entitled a party to reparation for `direct loss and/or expense`, he was entitled to recover bank charges and loss of interest consequent upon his need to cover other such items of loss and expense, for a loss arising naturally according to the usual course of things within the meaning of the rule in "Hadley v Baxendale" was the same as `direct loss`.
