520 _aLT 21 May 1990. Ratepayers were claiming that due to severe disrepair and penetrating damp the unused lower floor should have no value for rating purposes. LT however held that, despite the fact that the landlord had refused to make the necessary repairs the defect was capable of being remedied. If the landlord completed repairs, a rent of £430 could be secured giving a rateable value of £330.
