520			_aThe Government intends to clamp down on the appeals procedure which firms can now use to challenge their rateable values. In future businesses will have to appeal against their rateable values within six months of the new rating lists coming into force, instead of the present unlimited right to appeal. The changes will be effective from 1 April 1990.
