520 _aThe Domesday 2000 project, will test the feasibility of creating a national land information system for the United Kingdom. Its objective is to ensure that by the year 2000 databases will exist that contain up-to-date information on land ownership, land value and land use linked together through a network. The work is being sponsored by Capital & Counties and is being carried out by Clive Sabel, research fellow at Wolfson College, Cambridge. The Steering Committee comprises David Cadman, Peter Dale and Derek Nicholls.
