520 _aQBD 8 November 1991. An appeal was lodged against the refusal of the council to grant outline planning permission for a development of houses. The draft local plan excluded the appeal site from residential allocation. The local plan inspector dismissing the 1967 Development Plan recommendation which identified the site as suitable for residential purposes, as of historic significance only and approved its exclusion. The appeal Inspector however went against this and agreed to allow the site to be developed. The council appealed. The decision was quashed on the grounds that a report of a local plan inspector must be regarded where it is relevant.
