520 _aDescribes an alternative to the management of small blocks of flats by a management company, namely, the establishment of trusts , which the author claims, are easier to administer than a management company. Management by trustees is an attractive alternative where not more than four flats are involved. The author outlines in detail how a system can be established, and the legal safeguards to be taken. Also discusses the implications if more than four flats involved. The Trustee Act 1925 and the Law of Property Act 1925 prohibit more than four trustees and more than four joint owners of a legal estate, respectively.
