520 _aIn Suleman v Shahsavari and others , ChD 17 June 1988, it was held that where a vendor`s solicitor had signed a contract for the sale of property as agent for the vendor without authority, and the vendor subsequently refused to complete the sale, the measure of damages against the solicitors could be assessed as the difference between the contract price of the property and the value of the property when the purchaser lost his purchase.
