520 _aCA 9 February 1993. The plaintiff(W) made a request to L for a new tenancy under Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 s26. L agreed but suggested a higher rent. The County Court did not serve proceedings on L to that effect despite having received the correct literature from W. The time-limit expired and L claimed W had lost her right to statutory renewal. W appealed against the decision that no extension of time would be granted. Appeal allowed.
