The plaintiff (L), a tenant of a building owned by the defendant (K), claimed a declaration against K that the rent had not been reviewed as from a specific date in May 91. L`s proposal of increased rent had not been acknowledged by K and this was taken as acceptance by L. Subsequently K`s assignees presented a demand for a much larger rent in July 91. L challenged this but the challenge was not upheld.
