520 _a"Harrow LBC v Johnstone" HL 13 March 1997. Husband and wife were joint periodic tenants of a council house. Wife subject to injunction not to disturb husband`s enjoyment of house. Wife purporting to terminate tenancy by notice to quit. CA held that the notice and subsequent possession proceedings taken by the council amounted to contempt of court. The Council appealed. Appeal allowed.
