Compensation for compulsory purchase resulting from the entry by an acquiring authority on land pursuant to Compulsory Purchase Act 1965 s11, even if it has not been quantified, is a `sum recoverable by virtue of an enactment` within the Limitation Act 1980 s9, and a cause of action to recover it accrues at the time of entry.
