520 _aDiscusses the decision of the CA in "Coppen v Bruce-Smith". The landlord issued a notice under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 s30 (1) (f) to withold the granting of a new tenancy, in order to demolish tennis courts. At issue was whether planning permission was needed for the demolition. If so the landlord conceded it would fail to get consent and the grounds for opposition would fail.
