520 _aThe National Council of Building Material Producers predicts an upturn in second half 1993 for construction provided that government maintains public sector investment. `Construction Leads` also sees signs of recovery but the RICS Quantity Surveyors Workload Survey is not so optimistic. RIBA reports fall in architects workload and professional fees. The Federation of Civil Engineering Contractors eching a similar fall in its members workload is calling for interest rate cuts.
