| 520 | _aCA 9 December 1997. Appellants S and G entered into a subcontract with respondent H for construction works, incorporating the MF/1 General Conditions of Contract. S&G had to provide clocking station and cabins for their 150 workmen which they positioned close to the working area. H instructed them to resite these in a compound half a mile away, resulting in increased working time. S&G claimed £1.6m in this respect, raising the issues as to whether the instruction constituted a variation, and whether S&G`s claim was barred by condition 44.4 of MF/1. "Held" no variation occurred, and claim contract barred. | ||
