520 _aButcher Robinson & Staples Ltd and others v London Regional Transport and another. Technology and Construction Court 10 May 1999. The claimant companies occupied premises owned by their parent, and paid service charges. The defendants allegedly caused disturbance in the construction of the Jubilee Line extension, but contended that the claimants had insufficient interests in the premises to uphold their claims. Held, none of the claimants occupied under a written tenancy agreement and it was far from clear what parts of the premises were allocated to any one claimant at any particular time. None of the claimants had sufficient proprietary interest in the property to maintain an action for nuisance or negligence.
