520 _aCA 3 March 2000. "Crawford v Clarke". In 1995 the landlord complained the tenant had made unauthorised alterations, and served a notice under the Law of Property Act 1925 S146. In 1996 the landlord brought proceedings under the Leasehold Repairs Act 1938 . In 1998 , the parties entered into a consent order, and it was ordered that the lease be forfeited , but that the tenant be granted relief from forfeiture on condition that the tenant complied with terms set out in an agreed schedule. The tenant failed to keep up with building payments and applied for an extension of time on three occasions, but refused on the third application. The tenant appealed. Held, appeal dismissed.
