520 _aChD 4 February 2000. Plaintiff (P) granted (G) a written grazing licence in February 1983 but refused to renew it upon expiry in December 1983. G continued to use the land despite unanswered requests to renew licence. G registered cautions with Land Registry on basis of title by adverse possession. P issued summons seeking cancellation of cautions. G died in 1998. In 1999 P commenced proceedings against G's widow for possession of land on the grounds that G's willingness to accept new licence prevented time running for limitation period under Limitation Act 1980 s15(1) and whether proceedings seeking relief other than recovery of land stopped time running under s15(1) and 38(1) of the 1980 Act. Summons and action for possession dismissed.
