| 520 | _aGuidelines on housing capacity in London were published at the end of 1999 by the London Planning Advisory Committee (LPAC). These were based on the results of a ground-breaking four-year housing capacity study. This study is the most comprehensive investigation conducted to date of future sources of housing supply in London. Sets out the methodology and background to the study, and describes its key results. One key finding was that housing densities are highest in central and inner London boroughs, and some metropolitan centres in outer London. The study offers some potentially useful lessons for other regions. "London's Housing Capacity" is available, priced £50, from Phil Garrood at the Greater London Authority: 020 7983 4323. Alternatively, an executive summary can be found on the GLA website at: www.london.gov.uk | ||
