520 _a"Daejan Properties Ltd v London Leasehold Valuation Tribunal" CA 12 July. Tenant (B) was paying service charges for a flat in London. B applied to the LVT under S19(2A) of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985. Issue of whether the tribunal had jurisdiction to determine whether service charges had already been paid by B. Landlord (D) submitted that there were reasons for tribunal's powers being limited. LVT ruled that it had jurisdiction to hear applications in relation to service charges that had been paid. The HC dismissed D's appeal that the LVT did not have jurisdiction to consider service charges which had been paid. The CA overturned the HC's decision allowing D's appeal.
