520			_aThis paper sets out a review of a number of recent studies which have been directly or indirectly concerned with the influence of regional investment incentives on the investment behaviour of firms in the Assisted Areas of the UK. Within the context of the most recent research the authors are able to to reconcile the apparent conflicting results of some earlier studies. Based upon these results, the paper draws a number of conclusions on the types of investment incentive and the delivery system most likely to influence decision-makers. (Journal abstract).
