520 _aThe new Building Regulations, which come into force 2002, will require U-values for walls for energy efficient buildings to be 0.35W/m2K. In order to meet this requirement, the National Cavity Insulation Association (NCIA) suggests that the easiest way is to increase the cavity width to 75mm and to use an injected cavity fill with a standard aerated block on the inner leaf.
