520 _aDiscusses the possibility of negligence being committed by valuers of contaminated land. RICS has issued guidance which attempts to clarify the complexities of law and valuation methodology which exist but many practising valuers still might not be discharging the professional duty to an adequate degree. Paper investigates this claim by examining the guidance provided against valuers' performances in contaminated land valuation. Concludes that many valuers are possibly acting negligently and recommends greater assessment and monitoring of professional competence. References. Taken from journal abstract.
