| 520 | _aCA 10 July 2001. Concerned the serving by landlord (L) of two conflicting notices to quit, under Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 s25. Notice A sought to terminate the tenancy, but did not specify on what grounds, whilst B stated any application for a new tenancy would not be opposed. The tenant's solicitor sought confirmation of whether any application would be opposed. L served a third notice (C) clarifying that any application would be opposed. Judge held that notice C was the valid notice. The tenant appealed. CA upheld CC's decision that C was the only valid notice. Appeal dismissed. | ||
