520			_aThe World Monuments Fund has issued a list of 100 of the world's most endangered sites and in an emergency move following the collapse of the World Trade Centre has added a large section of Lower Manhattan as number 101. The Fund has published this list every two years since 1996. The aim of the survey of world heritage is a 'call to action' to help raise funds for preservation work. Many sites on previous lists have been rescued and are well on their way to being preserved.
