520			_aThe first signs of growth in more than a year were seen in Britain's manufacturing sector in February, according to the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) The institute's monthly report "UK purchasing managers' index" jumped from 46.4 in January to 50.1 last month, rising above the no change mark of 50.0 for the first time since February 2001, and recording the second largest increase in the survey's 10-year history.
