Discusses the following areas with LCD responses: landlord/creditor required to give 72 hours' notice; distrainors required to carry an identity card and give a minimum amount of information; distress for rent to take place between 0800 and 2000; no service charges recoverable by distress; forced entry to require prior notice and judicial authority; distress only levied if outstanding rent exceeds one quarter of the annual sum; bailiff not allowed to take goods if they do not cover expenses plus 10% of the debt; three forms of legal control; a list of exempted goods; abolishing poundbreach; fees; and removing a landlord's priority.
