490 _aDEFRA News Release
_v(328/02) 8 August 2002, (2)
520 _aDEFRA announces major changes to the livestock movements still in place after the foot and mouth outbreak. From the beginning of September sheep and cattle which go into a strict on-farm isolation facility for 20 days on arrival will not trigger a 20-day standstill on the rest of the farm. Government recognises that there is some risks associated in the relaxation of this restriction, but there are significant advantages for the farming industry if the burdens are lifted.
