520			_aGovernment has published the first comprehensive overview of the quality of England's local environment. The "Environmental quality survey for England, 2001-2002", was carried out by the environmental charity ENCAMS on behalf of DEFRA and graded local councils on their environmental performance. The results will enable local councils to target problem areas; the results also showed the councils were underperforming. The full results can be found at http://www.encams.org.
