| 520 | _aHousing stock transfer has not proved as popular among councils and tenants as government hoped. The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) new report "Beyond bricks and mortar: bringing regeneration into stock transfer", looks at how small scale 'partial' transfers can play a major role in paving the way for urban regeneration. Article gives an overview of the stock transfers that took place in 1996-1999 which were some of the earliest examples of 'partial' transfers and commitment to community regeneration.
