520 _aThe latest RICS housing survey for England and Wales for three months to October 2002 reveals house price rises running at more than double the long-term annual average of 10% and are expected to rise until year end. North of England sees the fastest rise - 81% compared with national figure of 54%. Average number of properties for sale per chartered surveyor/estate agent remains low at 63. Enquiries from potential purchasers fell in October.
