520 _aExamines how the farmland market has performed across the UK in 2002. Land values seem to have remained stable but this is due to the continued lack of supply. RICS said that whole farm values actually rose £60/acre to £3157/acre over Q3. FPDSavills figures show that total availability in England at 146 000 acres was up 60% on 2001 when foot and mouth restricted sales to 91 000, but down by 22% on the average volume launched anually between 1998-2000.
