520 _aThe construction industry can expect little growth in the next two years, according to the latest Construction Products Association forecast. A sharp decline in private sector investment is predicted for this and next year, and industry growth will fall to 3.7% this year, dropping to 0.6% in 2004. Output growth was expected to have increased more than 7% last year, the highest rate of growth since 1988. Growth is expected to improve slightly in 2005, up to 1.3%. Table.
