520			_aViews are sought on a draft EU Directive for the control of foot and mouth disease (FMD). The Directive includes many of the recommendations made in the UK Inquiry Reports and accepted by government. It also reflects government's view that emergency vaccination should be considered as part of the control plan from the start of any outbreak of FMD. Responses should be sent by Friday 2 May 2003.
