520 _aReports on the row between the Environment Agency (EA) and private environmental search firms Sitescope/Homecheck and Landmark over EA's proposed price rise for environmental data. The private firms argue that this will increase prices for homebuyers and affect the quality of proposed sellers' packs. EA's rivals are also concerned about a new EA product aimed at residential homebuyers that claims to provide a full range of environmental information. Homecheck and Landmark claim it will not be as comprehensive as their reports, yet EA branding may help it become the preferred report in a seller's pack. The Office of Fair Trading is currently looking into the EA prices following a complaint from Sitescope. Includes environmental search websites and elements missing in the new EA report (according to Homecheck).
