| 520 | _aIn a new report published by RICS - "Raising the ratio: the surveying profession as a career" - it is argued that Britain's businesses are missing out on a huge pool of talent because Britain's working practices alienate women. Inflexible attitudes and working arrangements deter talented women from joining the sector and can drive others out. In a survey of 3 000 property professionals, 70% said they believed that working long hours at the office enhanced their prospects of promotion which reinforced inflexible working cultures. An electronic version is available on the RICS website and the hardcopy is due out in July 2003www.rics.org/includes/listprmoreall.html?faculty=RICS& | ||
