520 _aThe Health and Safety Executive has launched a new safety initiative, "High 5", to reduce accidents on small construction sites. HSE research showed that 75% of deaths and injuries on site happen to self-employed workers or those who work for a small business. Small businesses account for 98% of the construction industry. The leaflet deals with five key hazards on site: untidy sites, falls from heights, manual injuries caused by working with heavy materials, accidents involving transport and asbestos. Copies of the leaflet can be download from the Working Well Together site, http://wwt.uk.com or be ordered online from www.hsebooks.co.uk or from HSE Books, PO Box 1999, Sudbury, Suffolk, CO10 2WA, t +44 (0)1787 881165 or f +44 (0)1787 313995.
