520 _aCushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker (CWHB) estimates for the second quarter of 2003 reveal that the central London leasing market has fallen lower than in the 1990s recession, with landlords coping better than tenants at shedding space. Take-up in the City and the West End has decreased by 20% and 36% from the previous quarter. Availability in central London is stabilising and supply is expected to rise slightly although a drop is expected in the City. CWHB believes the rental cycle is bottoming out and is positive in its outlook for 2004.
