520 _aThe European Commission has approved government proposals to bring brownfield land back into use and relieve the pressure on green belt. The land remediation state aid approval enables local authorities, regional development agencies and English Partnerships to provide grants of up to 100% to developers to clean up contaminated or derelict land ready for development.
