520 _aThe latest "RICS housing market survey England and Wales " for the three months to July 2003 shows stagnation in the number of houses coming on to the market, more buyer enquiries and increased competition for properties, coupled with improved market confidence. In July, only 2% more surveyors reported a rise in new instructions than a fall, unsold property stocks fell for the first time since last November and 11% more surveyors reported a rise in buyer enquiries than a fall. For the next three months, 32% more surveyors expect sales to rise than fall.
