520 _aExamines the return of environmental protesters who are now targeting the new development of airports which will expand Britain's air capacity by nearly 300%. A white paper is being released in the next three months which will identify the best sites for this development. The protesters argue that aeroplanes are more polluting than roads and point out that this new movement will potentially attract more people than at its previous peak in the mid 1990s. It is possible that protest camps will be set up towards the end of the year after the announcement as to which sites will have further development.
