_v 30 September 2003, (2)
520 _aThe Welsh Assembly has published the UK's first spatial plan. The "Wales Spatial Plan" sets out the needs of rural and urban areas and proposes an enhanced role for the capital city, Cardiff. The report uses the word 'spatial' rather than 'land use' or 'development' to imply that a wider remit has been applied to the plan to include any form of activity with spatial implications. The "Wales Spatial Plan" is available on the Welsh Assembly website, http://www.wales.gov.uk/themesspatialplan/index.htm. The consultation closes on Friday 30 January, 2004. Written comments should be sent to the Wales Spatial Plan Unit, Room 1093, Cathays Park, Cardiff CF10 3NQ, or emailed to [email protected]. http://www.wales.gov.uk/servlet/PressReleaseByDateServlet?area_code=37E752F2000942E000000A2E00000000&document_code=N0000000000000000000000000012748
