520 _aTwo studies published today show the most dangerous activity on construction sites are often normal activities of handling materials or walking across the sites. These studies were conducted by engineering consultants Bomel Ltd and Loughborough University. Theseinvestigations were completely separate but produced a number of similar findings. Suggestions from the survey included the fact that accident investigation was often superficial and poor supervision and communication were often a significant contributor to accidents.
